GES Appointment Letter Fee: Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the minister responsible for education, says he would investigate the set amount of GH$10 that the
Ghana Education Service (GES) administration charges newly hired teachers as an appointment letter fee.
The Minister of Education said during a conversation our editorial staff monitored that he was unaware that the Ghana Education Service (GES) charges newly appointed teachers GH$10.00 to provide them access to appointment letters each year.
In a recent interview, the education minister stated, “I don’t know about it and I will look into it, but I don’t know that instructors have to pay to acquire their appointment letters, WASSCE I know students purchase scratch cards to verify results.
In a similar scenario, the Ghana Education Service has made appointment letters for teachers recruited in 2023 available for download. In a press statement seen by myhealtink, all lists of qualified applicants have been made public.
The GES management noted in the communiqué that “Management of the Ghana Education Services (GES) wishes to inform the general public of the publication of the list of successful applicants during our just-ended recruitment process.”
All recruited teachers, the Ghana Education Service (GES) A.G Director, HRMD, Angela Frimpongmaa Nkansah said are to visit https://gespromotions.gov to download their appointment letters at an amount or fee of GH¢10.00
Successful applicants are to proceed to their respective Regional Education Directorates with their Ghana Card and other necessary documents for further posting directives and verification,” the Ghana Education Service official added.
