What is International Health Students Summit 2023 (IHSS23)?
The International Health Students Summit is a gathering of health students, health professionals, researchers, policymakers, and financiers across the world to contribute to the discussion of health policies, addressing challenges, and contributing ideas to the efforts of achieving all targets toward quality universal health.
The IHSS is the largest health students and professionals gathering hosted in Ghana.
The Summit provides a platform for health students and health professionals of the continent to meet ministers and government officials, country directors of some agencies, heads of regulatory health bodies, people of academia, and other relevant stakeholders to network and exchange ideas.
Through a mixture of a series of interactive workshops and plenary sessions, the summit will bring to the fore the crucial issues affecting the health system of Ghana and take action with key partners.
Objectives IHSS23
- To assess the potential for local vaccine production to maximize access and minimize hesitancy.
- To access the robustness and preparedness of the health system for epidemics and pandemics: identifying gaps in health financing.
- To understand the complex relationship between culture, social dynamics and health and wellbeing.
