NDC Primaries: Sadiq Abudulai Abu, the former CEO of 3Media Networks, has been elected to run for the Okaikwei Central parliamentary seat in the 2024 general elections.
He triumphed over three other candidates to win the bid. With 682 votes, Baba Sadiq, as he is more often known, won.
Judge Hashford Quartey, Nadine Issah, and Fred Nii Tetteh, his rivals, received 267, 118, and 94 votes, respectively.
Baba Sadiq has played a significant role in the party’s activities since he first entered politics by running in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary in the Okaikoi Central Constituency.
He contributed to the creation of the NDC manifesto’s tourism, arts, and culture section before the 2020 election.
He was also one among those chosen to address matters pertaining to the arts in the manifesto.
The 3Media Networks and Wildaland Festival co-founder has spent his years in the creative sector working in the media and music industries.
Baba Sadiq expressed his willingness to serve in whatever role if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) wins the 2024 elections in a previous interview with Joy Entertainment.
When asked if he would mind serving as Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture should the party win the election, he said on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z that he was open to accepting any post that would be handed to him.
