UHAS Physician Assistant cut off point: This course lasts four (4) years. The first two years are used to introduce students to the field and prepare them by covering core sciences.
Professional training is the main focus of the third and fourth years.
The third year of study covers the basics of clinical medicine as well as preventive medicine.
Evidence-based medicine, pharmacology and therapeutics, diagnostic techniques, and health administration.
Clinical clerkships predominate in the last year. Via clerkships in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Primary Care.
Students get experience in the major medical specialties.
Under the supervision of experts in healthcare institutions, these clerkships are carried out at primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare facilities.
In addition to the course’s other components, a strong emphasis is placed on developing surgical abilities in both surgery and obstetrics.
During the lengthy breaks, there are vocational training sessions where students acquire and hone practical skills.
Entry Requirement

WASSCE / SSSCE OR ITS EQUIVALENT
Applicants must have obtained three (3) credits (at least Grade A1-C6 in WASSCE and A-D in SSSCE) in the following Core Subjects:
English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science plus three (3) credits in the following Elective Subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Elective Mathematics.
UHAS Physician Assistant cut off point: The cut of points for Physician assistantship in UHAS is aggregate 12. However, the chance of getting an admission depends on the outcome of the applicants interview/entrance exams results.
