UHAS Public Health Nursing: Public health nurses are helpful in rural or low-income communities because they may provide services like immunizations at schools,

prenatal and infant care instruction, assisting the elderly with safety, and more. Public health nurses are frequently present at the scene of an emergency or crisis involving health.

UHAS Public Health Nursing: One of the three departments of School Nursing and Midwifery is the Department of Public Health Nursing (SONAM). The Bachelor of Public Health Nursing (B.PHN) programme is offered by the Public Health Nursing department on a regular, sandwich, and top-up basis.

The Program supports the University’s objective of:

spreading information, research findings, and their applicability to the needs and goals of the Ghanaian people

  • Aggregate: 12 for WASSCE applicants or SSCE equivalent. (REGULAR)
  • Two years top-up for diploma holders.
  • Three years Sandwich programme for certificate Holders after passing their access course.
