In order to identify the source of an infection, contacts, and disease carriers, the curriculum also teaches students how to do follow-up investigations on various non-communicable illnesses, including bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections that have been reported to a health institution.
In order to inform policy choices in the healthcare system, students are also taught in the administration and operation of surveillance systems, whereby data on health occurrences are systematically gathered, examined, and evaluated.
Students would take a variety of courses to get them ready for the working world.
