Do not be a Victim of the ongoing GES Recruitment Scam: NABCO beneficiaries warned.

Victim of the ongoing GES Recruitment Scam: Following complaints about fake job advertisements, the management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has warned Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme participants to be cautious of an ongoing recruitment scam.

Victim of the ongoing GES Recruitment Scam

Following complaints about fake job advertisements, the management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has warned Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme participants to be wary of an ongoing recruitment scam.

The Education Service said in a statement seen by our Editorial team that it had received multiple reports of questionable individuals exploiting gullible Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) graduates seeking employment with GES.

“These reports are extremely upsetting and cast doubt on the Service’s reputation. Because it is against Service policy to accept payment for hiring, the GES seeks to distance itself from these claims.

“We wish to emphasize that the Ghana Education Service (GES) has not engaged any individual to collect any money on its behalf in connection with recruiting,” the management said in the statement.

The Education Service in reference to the caution has asked members of the general public, particularly recipients of the National Builders Corps to be careful about the recruiting scam and report such fraudsters to the police.

“Management by this notice strongly opposing the such behaviour and desires to educate the public to report such deceitful persons to the police or pay such amounts at their own risk,” the Ghana Education Service added.

The Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme, which was launched in the 2018–19 academic year, is a central government initiative to combat unemployment among tertiary graduates and address societal issues.

The focus of the Nation Builders Corps will be tackling public service delivery in health, education, agriculture, technology, and governance and boosting revenue mobilisation and collection.

This new programme – the Nation Builders Corps respects the role performed by existing channels that already exist under various government organisations and agencies.
